Tom Williamson 

Tom is a highly respected Virginia trial lawyer and one of only ten attorneys in the Commonwealth who is a Fellow of both the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. He has served as President of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the John Marshall Inn of Court, and as Chair of the Boyd Graves Conference, a group dedicated to improving Virginia’s civil justice system.

Tom is an AV-rated lawyer and has been widely recognized for excellence in trial advocacy. His honors include Best Lawyers® Richmond Medical Malpractice Lawyer of the Year (2012) and Best Lawyers® Lawyer of the Year for Personal Injury Litigation (Virginia). Tom devotes 100% of his practice to litigation, with a focus on cases involving complex medical, scientific, and engineering issues. His trial experience includes medical malpractice, product liability, serious personal injury, defamation, land use, environmental, and civil rights cases. He has also lectured and written extensively on trial practice and civil procedure.

From 2013 to 2025, Tom was Manager/Member of Williamson Law LC. Effective January 1, 2026, he serves as Of Counsel to Silverman Law Firm LC in Richmond, Virginia.
